Who We Are
The M.W. Sewall & Company Mission
Our mission is to strive to have our customers and employees take pride in who we are. "PRIDE", the best in a group or class.
M.W. Sewall & Company is a family owned business serving Maine's central coast communities since 1887. Service has always been our number one product and we are dedicated to bringing the best products from our home to yours. Throughout the 1800s the Sewall Family operated one of five major ship building yards along the Kennebec River. In 1905 the square masted schooner, the Edward Sewall, delivered kerosene throughout the Caribbean for Texaco and in 1910 horse drawn sleds and wagons delivered coal and ice to the Bath community.
Since 1931 the business had passed down through the family but our dedication to bringing the best products from our home to yours has not changed.
We now proudly employ over 150 people that operate fifteen convenience stores and service centers along the Route 1 corridor, deliver heating oil and propane through out the Mid Coast Region, offer complete sales and service on oil and propane heating equipment and offer modular home sales through our new division Landmark Homes located in Bath.
You can contact us for a full range of products and services including heating oil, propane, gasoline, diesel fuel, and K-1 as well as 24 hour emergency service. In addition, M.W. Sewall owns several different divisions offering products that range from home heating and fuel products, to convenience stores, modular homes, and car washes.
Community
At M.W. Sewall we take pride in continuing our long tradition of supporting our surrounding communities and treating then as an extended portion of our family through various outlets. Below are few of our recent efforts.
Currently M.W. Sewall offers the Bath High School Graduate Scholarship and the Anita Peaslee Scholarship to outstanding students in our surrounding towns.
Each Friday in the fall, winter & spring M.W. Sewall is proud to sponsor the Athlete of the Week appearing in the Times Record. All of the athletes appearing in the column have achieved outstanding athletic, academic and community standings.
