 Seeking a detail oriented, efficient and organized professional for the    
position of Information Technology Help Desk Specialist in our Boston, MA Office.
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
  Provides a central point of contact through which problems related to Information Systems are addressed.  Specifically desktop hardware and software issues, telephone problems, printer problems, and connectivity will be addressed, including problem recognition, research, isolation and resolution. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Answer the IS Help Desk phone in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Provide direct problem resolution where appropriate
  • Enter work tickets into work flow tracking software. Follow up with technicians and end user to ensure adequate service levels are maintained
  • Perform duties of system administration and coordinate system updates for Synergy, Yellow Hammer, Cognos, I Talk, Mortgagebot LOS and any other systems that are assigned
  • Ensure all change management requests are assigned to the appropriate person. Follow up on any outstanding requests, ensure that all items are documented and approve in accordance with bank policy
  • Perform daily IT checklist ensuring all customer facing systems are up and running and all controls were followed
  • Coordinate with the appropriate resource to ensure all Sage Data Security items are researched and resolved
  • Review Sophos and GFI reports
  • Manage spam filters, anti-virus software and spam
  • Ensure all LAN User changes are processed in a timely manner. Follow up with the appropriate resource needed
  • Respond to malware event notifications in a time manner. Ensure anti-virus framework assets are deploying updated signature files and periodic scans are completing normally
  • Work with Infrastructure and Application teams to document, and maintain the necessary procedures, forms and logs to identify, route, report and resolve technical issues
  • Document and escalate all security related incidents to Management in a timely manner in accordance with the Northeast Bank incident response policy
  • Scan all departmental invoices as received for payment authorization and expense tracking
  • Present department invoices as received for payment authorization
  • Remit approved invoices to Accounting for payment
  • Make recommendations for the purchase of computer equipment and / or software to meet business needs as needed
  • Working independently and with vendors to configure scanning and faxing capabilities on multi-function copier devices
  • Assist IT Infrastructure team members as needed with the installation of workstations, laptops, phone configurations and relocation of PCs
  • Update documentation to ensure production equipment and surplus equipment inventories are catalogues properly and maintained as equipment is purchased, transferred, and / or relocated
  • Arrange disposition of obsolete equipment  and media in accordance with approved security procedures
  • Work with project management ream and management on assigned project tasks to meet departmental and organizational project objectives
  • Participate and present feedback during department and project meetings to report progress and concerns regarding IT work flow assignments
  • Assist in the preparation process for all IT related audits and regulatory examinations
  • Complete all mandatory training as assigned in a timely manner
  • Successfully pass technical and regulatory examinations required by the Company
