Waldo County was established on February 7, 1827. The county is divided into three districts, each overseen by one of three Commissioners.

These small historical towns are steeped with charm and history. Just up the river in the quaint town of Prospect is the new Penobscot Bay Narrows Bridge and Observatory. The views are breath-takingly beautiful.
