CHCS is looking for a Registered Dietitian to work limited hours within our service areas (Washington, Hancock, Penobscot and Piscataquis counties) helping to meet the needs of hospice patients. You will be providing direct and indirect quality client dietary educational services based on the current standards of practice. Such education is delivered on a visiting and intermittent basis in the home environment or consultatively in the hospital environment. You will also be responsible for the screening, assessment, and the education of patients and the documentation of nutritional problems, intervention plans, and measurable goals for patients. Will also be responsible for developing educational tools that conform to needed medical nutritional therapies, and training other staff members in nutrition intervention and nutrition education strategies. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or other service related field; be an ADA Registered Dietitian, and have at least two years of clinical experience within the past four years. Assumes responsibility for continuing education to maintain knowledge. A current State of Maine driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation is also required.
