Administer high quality Basic Life Support care to ill or injured patients, from neonate to geriatric, as authorized by Maine Emergency Medical Services protocols, and as authorized and directed by local Medical Control. Acts as a member of the Advanced Life Support Team.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); graduate of an approved emergency medical technician course. Must be currently licensed, or qualify for licensure, as a Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate by the State of Maine. Must maintain licensure, and driving privileges throughout employment.
Must be able to meet requirements as stipulated by PACE Paramedic Service for vehicle driving privileges (A.V.O.C.-Basic), including approval by our vehicle insurance company. A.V.O.C.- Advanced, PHTLS-Basic, PEPP-Basic, and CPR are desired, strongly supported and encouraged.
