Information Technology Operations Manager

Camden National’s vibrant, ever growing Information Technology department is looking for a technical IT Professional with great business acumen and people skills to manage a diverse experienced staff of innovative technologists. This position will manage the day to day functions of our cutting edge enterprise infrastructure and networks, which includes server, storage, phone system, network infrastructure, users support and data center functions, as well as the entire product lifecycle. The other critical part of our infrastructure this person will manage is the altruistic help desk, which includes managing staff, PCs, laptops, upkeep of the day to day functionality for the organization and always improving the end user experience. This unique opportunity to work with some of the best banking technology in the business reports directly to the Director of IT and partners with the applications team manager to evaluate infrastructure technology, process improvements and solutions.


  • Manage a team of up to 10 Stakeholders which includes the help desk, network and infrastructure teams. Mentor and develop team, providing timely and honest feedback.
  • Manage the technology operations portfolio, by aligning with business management needs while controlling costs.
  • Complete long-term hardware strategic planning, documentation and evaluation required to meet business objectives. This includes Help Desk planning, strategy and management reporting.
  • Develop requirements, documentation and architectural designs for all hardware related projects.
  • Managing the technology operations governance function; by designing controls, providing oversight and proactively managing enterprise technology risk.
  • Review technology contracts to ensure that solutions meet company standards and that they meet agreed upon terms.
  • Provide capacity and compliance management oversight, including reports and dashboards while participating in varying audit functions.
