Must be able to work all three shifts, weekends and holidays.
The Emergency Services CNA/Ward Secretary is responsible for: greeting patients and visitors arriving in Emergency Services, appropriately identifying the patient; performing clerical duties in the Emergency Services Department, reviewing ES records and entering data for Performance Improvement purposes; answering the telephone, placing requested phone calls; relaying messages, acting as receptionist and maintaining the physical environment of the area. Performs assistive functions and tasks that support the care of patients, as directed by a registered nurse.
High school graduate or general education degree (GED). Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required. Current on the CNA Registry. Active Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or initiated at time of hire and must maintain currenty. Medical secretarial background preferred. Medical Terminology preferred. Clerical skills with basic skills in computers/word processing needed.
