Better patient care, better support, and lower costs - those are the hallmarks of the Consolidated Imaging (CI) program. MaineHealth has embarked on an exciting journey to acquire both a VNA and Enterprise viewer solution to extend the CI model to other imaging modalities and sources beyond Radiology. Cardiology, Endoscopy, Wound Care, etc., can all benefit from a shared image archive in the same way that Radiology has benefited over more than 13 years. Maine Medical Center is a Magnet recognized academic medical center and cornerstone member of Maine Health in the idyllic location of Portland, Maine. The Integrated Imaging Informatics team is looking for full-time clinical analyst reporting to the Imaging Informatics Operations manager.
The Systems Analyst role is accountable for analysis, building, testing and implementation of computer systems in an Imaging Informatics setting. These systems may include, but are not limited to; Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), Enterprise viewer, PACs, Radiology, Cardiology information system applications. The system support may involve changes or new functionality within a site's current system or the implementation of the system at a new site. This is the second level of a three level career path. Typically works with end users, managers, line management and senior management on efforts with a medium level of complexity. Incumbents in this role design system components, write specifications, estimate work, define solutions, perform system build and create system level documentation. The Systems Analyst is viewed as a respected resource within the department and within the larger organization. Participation as a member of the Off Hours On Call support team is required in this position.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Certified in 2-4 applications or other software certification or experience relevant to position
- 2-3 years healthcare experience
- 2-3 years Analysis and Design experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Team Player
- Facilitation skills
- Problem solving skills
- Strong business acumen
- Mastery of program development tools such as editors and configuration tools.
- Proven ability to utilize knowledge of computer systems and data structures to develop system solutions.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
