Southern Maine Health Care has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to become an important part of a dynamic Cardiac and Vascular Care team leading a rapidly growing service line. In this role you'll find a wonderful opportunity to expand your nursing skills and knowledge. Primary duties include coordinating clinic patient flow and participating in diagnostic cardiac testing. The Registered Nurse also serves as a liaison between providers and patients to deliver exceptional care before, during, and after the practice visit.
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, wants to join a fun, fast-paced, outpatient team, and is looking for a nurturing environment where he/she can explore many different facets of nursing within one area of medicine. Although all acute experience will be considered, our ideal candidate has worked in ER, Cardiac, Med/Surg or ICU. Inpatient or outpatient experience is acceptable. Assists the physician in the care and treatment of patients. Responsible for the delivery of care through the process of assessment, planning and implementation. Promotes a smooth flow of patients through the office and helps to create a calm, supportive atmosphere. Performs tasks as required, paying attention to detail and accuracy. Conducts all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Current RN licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing required. BSN preferred.At least two years' experience in related field preferred.Current in basic life support and ACLS if required.The use and knowledge of computers, the knowledge of office procedures necessary, and routine laboratory procedures.
