Coordinates the solicitation, ad sales, layout and proofreading of all chamber related publications. This includes, but is not limited to, graphic design and layout; mailing or networking advertisement prices, sizes, and distribution of printed orders. Designs and assists with the distribution of external e-mail marketing newsletters & social media. Provides event logistics assistance from that start of the planning cycle to the post-event debrief. This includes vendor mailing and follow up, sponsor outreach, volunteer solicitation, attending events and helping with communications and marketing of the events.
Responsible for maintaining the membership database/ File Maker Pro and other member files including invoicing.
Produce monthly reports of membership news for the Executive Report and the E-News.
Provide logistical support for all ads for the Region Guide, Map, Maine Invites You, and opportunities including providing payment status.
Provide logistical and marketing support for events including programs, forms, mailings, etc.
Facilitate writing the E-News and monthly Chamber Newsletters, E-blasts, and posts to PR calendars for chamber events; Visitmaine.com.
Organize and conduct social media, Constant Contact, advanced social media, website development and hospitality/customer service workshops.
Responsible for social media including regular posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other outlets as appropriate and update the website as needed ensuring photos are changed and/or added to the various pages.
Facilitates tracking of all the marketing campaigns and materials including Maine and phone inquiries, Google analytics, and press coverage.
Productively network in the community, attend public, civic, and organizational events as a chamber representative and liaison with various committees.
Work as a team with colleagues to provide membership a professional, creative, efficient, and positive chamber that remains focused on growing the chamber, the membership and the economy in our region
Other duties as assigned. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to work days, evenings, holidays and weekends.
Overseas all the chamber events including planning, logistics; sponsorships; budgeting and marketing; working with the staff and volunteers
Staff the events committees, including facilitating, scheduling, agendas and minutes
Be the marketing and PR contact for all even committees including claw down. Identify and recruit additional members to committees and participate in other committees as needed.
Implement/facilitate/attend trade shows, business expos, etc.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience: One year in the related field
Preferred Education: Associates/ Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Experience: Two or more years in the related field
