We have an opening for a part-time (30 hour) Awake Overnight Care Associate at our girls residential facility in Buxton, Maine. The specific hours are: Sat., Sun., and Mon., 10:00pm - 8:00am. Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, ensuring physical security and safety procedures; supervising residents to ensure that the rules of the house are followed, and the needs of the residents are met; taking appropriate steps in emergencies; maintaining effective relationships by providing active listening and support; documenting client contact notes; participating in team meetings and training groups; dispensing medication and maintaining accurate medical records.
To supervise residents when on-duty, to assist residents in following the house schedule, especially in regard to bedtime, "lights out", and wake up. To conduct regular checks to ensure that all residents are accounted for. Maintain the physical security of the house, take appropriate steps in emergencies, e.g., call ambulance, notify emergency on-call staff member, call fire department, etc.·
To appropriately record significant observations and information about the residents behaviors and actions in the Daily Log on a daily basis and read the entries of other staff members daily.· To appropriately monitor all video/security systems to ensure house rules are being followed.
Participate in clinical meetings, in-service training, and supervision and training groups as assigned.·
Minimum requirements: Two or more years of human services-related experience which includes working with adolescents. Good listening, limit-setting and role-modeling skills; sound judgment in maintaining boundaries, demonstrated experience working effectively with adolescents; good driving record, satisfactory background checks, and interest and availability in working awake overnight hours, including week-ends and holidays when necessary. Must be thoroughly familiar with the fire safety guidelines and other emergency procedures and will conduct periodic late night fire drills.· Must demonstrate excellent sense of judgment, boundaries, personal stability, responsibility and dependability. Ability to work well and collaboratively as part of a team, and to cope with stressful situations and interact cordially with clients and co-workers to accomplish tasks. Preference will be given to candidates with adolescent residential experience.

Rate of pay: $15.00 - $15.25 per hour, based on credentials and experience.
High school diploma is necessary and must be provided. Some knowledge of adolescent development, substance use, and recovery is required. Strong communications skills--verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills. CRMA training within 6 months of hire (agency paid).
