Position Summary:

Works as a member of the finance team to facilitate:

  • Keeping of records
  • Processing of transactions
  • Preparation of reports
  • Supporting company operations
  • Maintenance of internal controls

 

Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Position will directly report to the Controller and have no direct reports. Works closely with other members of the Finance Team and other company departments and functions

 

Essential Functions:
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cost Accounting/ Inventory
  • Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
  • Payroll
  • Achieve DSO and AR aging goals
  • Monitor balances of customer accounts
  • Interact with customers, PSC’s, and sales team
  • Maintain company name and address file and customer credit status
  • Ensure vendors are paid according to terms
  • Applying discounts allowable
  •  Other Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Preparation of journal vouchers, statements, and reports
  • Maintenance of fixed asset records and related systems
  • Company accounting support
  • Monthly account reconciliation
  • Finance security administration
  • Tax reporting requirements
  • Government reporting requirements
  • Perform all other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

  Qualifications:
Education and Experience
B.S. degree in accounting, finance, or economics
Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and managerial skills
  • Knowledge of company policies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to motivate through positive example
  • Ability to work with people to accomplish their goals and the goals of the organization
  • Provide support and encouragement
  • Be open to change and facilitate change
