CUSTODIAN 24 HOURS PER WEEK! EVENINGS 

The City of Augusta is seeking a highly dependable individual to assist in maintaining our facilities to high standards in a safe and efficient manner.  The Custodian will clean all areas of the facility, inspect the building and grounds for safety, assist with sidewalk maintenance, do minor repairs and ensure security.

 

This is a twenty-four (24) hour per week Custodial position which may be assigned to multiple city facilities.  Regularly scheduled hours are four evenings per week from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM and one evening per week from 5:00 pm until 1:00 AM. Flexibility to work additional hours to cover vacations and meetings is required.

 

Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year of custodial or maintenance experience.  Must also possess a valid Maine driver’s license and reliable transportation.  Must be able to lift and carry up to 75lbs, bend and reach repeatedly, climb ladders and stairs, & operate industrial cleaning equipment as part of the day to day responsibilities.

 

This is a regular part-time, non-union position. 

Pay range is regular part time : PPCU $11.88 to $14.12 per hour
