CLERK - Full Time

The Tax Office is seeking an individual for 40 hours a week to perform motor vehicle registrations, collection of taxes, fees and city accounts receivable.  This position also involves handling of funds and preparation of a variety of state and municipal licenses, assists with elections, voter registration, and the recording and issuance of vital records.

Customer service and math skills needed. This position is a front line customer service representative.  This position will reconciles and balances their daily transaction along with suppling customers with information related to the appropriate transaction and amounts due. 

Ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and minimum of 2 year’s of  experience;  skilled in working with the public and others in a courteous and professional manner; ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally; strong accounting skills, cash handling, data entry and computer skills necessary.

 

Competitive wages and benefits:

 

Base wage: GG12 $14.67 TO $18.25 depending on experience, knowledge, and skills related to position.
