COMMUNITY HEALTH PROMOTION SPECIALIST
Health and Human Services Department – Public Health Division – Search Extended - Part Time (30 hours/week), Grant Funded, Project Position – Seeking qualified individual for a part-time, project position working in the Substance Use Prevention Program in the City of Portland’s Public Health Division. This grant funded position will work with first responders in Portland assist in implementing and evaluating interventions aimed at reducing opioid related overdoses in disparate population. Other responsibilities will include program planning, implementation, distribution of health promotion education and materials, community outreach, program evaluation and reporting. Position requires a bachelor’s degree in a public health-related field or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. Experience in public program implementation and program evaluation strongly desired. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
Starting salary range is $34,569 to $38,922/year based on a 30 hour/week work schedule.
