CUSTODIAL WORKER (FLOATING)
Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department – Public Assembly Facilities Division – Public Safety Building – 1st shift (Tuesday – Saturday – 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) - This position will be primarily located at the Portland Police Department and is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the facility. Duties also include performing routine facility maintenance as necessary and routine exterior maintenance, including snow removal. Requirements of work: Ability to lift and move heavy objects over an extended period of time; working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment; ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; ability to meet and deal courteously with the public; physical strength and agility necessary to perform the essential functions of the work. Must possess valid Class C driver's license, have a good driving record and a reliable vehicle for work-use where applicable. Prior customer service experience desired. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check. Starting salary rate is $645.20/week.
