In conjunction with Hub International New England, Maine Municipal Association is accepting resumes for the position of Marketing Consultant for the group self-insurance programs (property and casualty, workers compensation, and unemployment compensation) managed in our Risk Management Services (RMS) Department.
In this position, your knowledge of municipal government will help RMS to keep focused on our members’ needs to assure delivery of exceptional member service. Your communication skills will be employed to investigate member issues and assist in the identification of appropriate programs to manage member risks. Extensive travel primarily within the State of Maine is required, including attendance at evening meetings and occasional overnight travel. Thorough knowledge of municipal and public entity administration and operations is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Superior time management skills are critical. Knowledge of insurance or risk management practices is a plus.
A degree in public administration and a minimum of five years of increasingly responsible public administration roles or equivalent experience is necessary. Compensation includes a salary commensurate with your experience and skills, travel reimbursement and a full benefit package.
