Materials Management Specialist:  Do you have inventory management experience?  Under the direction of our Materials Manager, you can be a part of our purchasing/facilities team to assist in daily inventory management tasks, purchasing and receiving. This position will be responsible for receiving from our multiple suppliers, including but not limited to:  weekly or daily medical products, laundry, office and other products used by our facility and our other locations.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as this person will be in constant communication with staff and with suppliers via order fulfillment.
Duties and Responsibilities in this role include:
  • receive supplies and equipment
  • purchase order receiving computer data management
  • inventory counts and data reconciliation
  • cast room supply order - weekly
  • clinical supply orders - weekly
  • respond to all package tracking inquiries from customers and co-workers
  • pull and deliver merchandise orders
  • keep merchandise area clean, neat and organized
  • ship orders according to shipping log
  • work closely with Materials Manager on month-end inventory counting
  • receiving merchandise into inventory.
Typical Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
  • Ability to position and move equipment and /or supplies weighing an average of 10 pounds and up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time during inventory counts
  • Ability to climb stairs for deliveries throughout the facility.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 2 years' experience in purchasing, inventory management, and shipping/receiving coordination
  • computer skills
  • excellent interpersonal and customer service related skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • secures and analyzes product and service quotations, negotiates prices and terms with vendors; arranges for inspection of sample products and on site trials for equipment
  • provide purchasing support for all clinical based practices
