The Medical Secretary position in Brunswick is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care which includes maintaining strict patient confidentiality, present a positive and respectful attitude to the community and operate the office efficiently with regard to income generation and collections and prudent use of resources. This is a full time, first shift position and the schedule is Mon-Fri 7:45am-12:00 with 30 minutes for lunch and then 12:30-4:15pm. You will be greeting all patients and confirming all demographic information, confirm insurance (if applicable), enter all patient information, run reports when needed, schedule appointments for patients, answer phones, order supplies.
Additional duties are as follows:
Maintain accurate documentation of patient correspondence
Comply with Mid Coast Hospital policies on mandatory education
Attend monthly meetings
Participate in performance improvement initiatives
Establish, maintain and improve strong positive relationships
Be general backup to other administrative positions
Other tasks as assigned by Executive and Clinical Directors.

What We Need From You:
Previous medical office experience
Experience with AthenaNet strongly preferred
Strong accuracy and efficiency skills
Ability to multi-task effectively
Knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent communication and customer service skills
