We are currently looking for an Outreach Worker to provide brief intensive support services to individuals recently receiving crisis services.  The person filling this position will be responsible for providing face to face and phone support focused on reducing the need for crisis services in the future.  This position will be required to provide mobile crisis services to children and adults in Kennebec and Somerset counties.  Crisis Workers are mental health emergency responders, who provide support and intervention to adults and children experiencing a crisis event.  Workers are trained to provide risk assessment and intervention for clients in locations including, but not limited to, the client's home, correctional facilities, schools and other community service sites and Emergency Departments.  Workers must qualify to be credentialed at a MHRT CSP level (must have a minimum of an Associate's degree and be able to successfully complete an 8 week training which is in combination of class time, job shadowing and hands on experience.  Must hold a valid driver's license in good standing and pass background checks.
