Position Summary:

This seasonal position supports the Cozy Harbor Seafood operational facilities which include: 75 St John Street, 4 Portland Fish Pier and Union Wharf. This position will process payroll for 110+ employees.

Essential Duties (Major Job Tasks):

  • Process weekly payroll with ADP Workforce Now
  • Process all payroll reporting
  • Setting up new employees in our ADP payroll system and ADP labor system
  • Detail of all workmen’s compensation issues and claims
  • Tracking and filing of all OSHA reportable incidents
  • Maintains database of employee training records
  • Responds to employee benefit questions
  • Supports Executive Team, Human Resources, and Finance functions, (e.g., answer phones, meet and greet visitors, handle special projects as needed, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Advanced skills in MS Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook)

  • Ability to anticipate needs and take necessary steps to keep operations organized and running smoothly
  • Strong organizational skills (ability to prioritize and multi-task while maintaining focus on objectives)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with all internal departments and staff with dedication to customer service satisfaction
  • Use appropriate initiative while soliciting input/advice
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a discreet and professional manner
  • Ability to succeed in a diverse, multi-cultural environment
  • Multilingual, preferrably Spanish and prior experience w/ADP workforce now is a plus


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education preferred.
