Day One is Maine's leading agency preventing and treating adolescent substance use, and helping them live productive, healthy and rewarding lives. We have a Per Diem Care Associate position available for week-ends and evenings which will ensure continuity of care for residential clients at the boys residence in Hinckley, Maine. Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, ensuring physical security and safety procedures; supervise residents to ensure that the rules of the house are followed and the needs of the residents are met; take appropriate steps in emergencies; maintain effective relationships by providing active listening and support; document client contact notes; participate in team meetings and training groups when appropriate; dispense medication and maintain accurate medical records. Must demonstrate excellent sense of judgment, boundaries, personal stability, responsibility and dependability.
Minimum requirements: Minimum of two years of human services-related experience, including working with adolescents with substance use issues, relevant training and education. Active listening, limit-setting and role modeling skills, sound judgment in maintaining boundaries, good driving record and ability to transport clients, satisfactory background checks. and availability in working wee-end and evening hours. Preference will be given to candidates with adolescent residential experience. This per diem position is for WEEK-ENDS AND EVENINGS.

High School Diploma or equivalent must be provided. Some knowledge of adolescent development, substance use, and recovery is required. Strong communications skills--verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills.
Rate of pay: $14.50 - $14.75.
