Design, develop and improve processes for the manufacturing and testing of Tantalum capacitors. Includes project development, planning, scheduling, implementation and reporting on the experiments to verify the effectiveness of the change or equipment. Addresses customer needs. Interacts with all departments to continuously improve product yield, reliability, reduce costs, reduce ergonomic concerns and to develop new products.
Evaluate and/or develop manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials. Identifies materials and or processes that will increase product yield , lower costs and or increase production efficiencies. Ability to coordinate new process improvement implementation through interaction with other plant departments as needed. Has a basic understanding of electromechanical process and equipment. Collects and analyzes pertinent data and recommends corrective actions or process and/or equipment improvements utilizing statistical methods and associated statistical analysis software. Ability to write clear and concise reports.
