JOB SUMMARY: The HCC Program and Planning Coordinator coordinates daily operations of Healthy Community Coalition including community outreach, event planning and office coordination and communication. This position will work seamlessly across many grant initiatives to assist with event planning and scheduling, program implementation, meeting support, reporting and other identified program needs. Other responsibilities include updating the Community Connector website, responding to community inquiries, and maintaining office / program supplies.
This position reports to the Executive Director or Program Director and works closely with all HCC staff, FCHN affiliates, community organizations and the public. HCC requires strong teamwork and clear communication among its staff members.
Professional development opportunities are available with this position including BLS, CPR certification, Maine State Prevention Specialist certification, Diabetes Educator certification and Health and Wellness Coaching certification. HCC also offers generous tuition reimbursement after six months of continuous employment.
Requirements: Bachelors degree required with educational and/or administrative background in community health/ healthcare preferred. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel. Excellent writing, decision-making and organization skills are essential.
