Job Description and Requirements:

Administer the internal audit program and act as point-of-contact during customer, Government or 3rd party audits. Administer the corrective/preventive action program for issuance, tracking, closure, and reporting of corrective action reports (CARs). Supervision is limited for this position and it requires efficient self-discipline to ensure assigned tasks are accomplished on schedule.

  • Coordinate and maintain the internal quality audit program and assure conformity to customer and 3rd party certification requirements
  • Proficiency with supplier, internal and customer audits
  • Schedule/perform internal audits and coordinate with area supervisors to maintain schedules
  • Perform external audits of suppliers
  • Train personnel for internal auditing or corrective action completion as required
  • Maintain computerized databases and filing systems in conformance with documented procedures
  • Understand requirements and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), slash sheets, process document changes (PDCs), safety data sheets (SDS) and other applicable specifications
  • Develop or assist in developing/revising/reviewing SOPs, Control Plans, FMEAs, PDCs and slash sheets to implement customer/supplier requirements
  • Coordinate and maintain the internal corrective/preventive action program and assure conformity to customer and 3rd party certification requirements
  • Assist with supplier corrective/preventive actions
  • Follow up on the implementation and effectiveness of corrective/preventive actions
  • Assist in the implementation of electronic systems for corrective/preventive action and internal audits
  • Analyze data and prepare monthly/quarterly departmental charts, graphs and reports
  • Support of the quality management system with regards to issuance of stamps, maintenance of quality records, etc.
  • Systemic thinking to improve the state of our quality management system and business processes
  • Adhere continuously to good housekeeping standards
  • Meet or exceed output goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Adhere consistently to safety practices
  • Work overtime as needed
