Systems Analyst - Department of Medical Education
This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional to join Maine Medical Center's rapidly growing and innovative Department of Medical Education, which includes:
  • A state-of-the-art Simulation Center
  • 26 graduate medical education (GME) residency and fellowship programs
  • an undergraduate medical education (UME) program affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine
  • a variety of continuing medical education (CME) initiatives
Position Summary:
Located in the Department of Medical Education on the Brighton Medical Center campus, this position will be responsible for the configuration, administration, and management of third-party, "vended" learning management software systems and related hardware. This position will also be responsible for researching, recommending, and integrating additional third-party, "vended" software solutions for current and future learning management needs. This position will work closely with vendor support and/or MaineHealth IS as the first line of defense and will be the primary liaison in the integration of the DME and MaineHealth IS departments to ensure timely resolution of issues. This position will maintain DME's Central Office & Sim Center PC inventory and IS policy exemptions.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
1. Certified in 2+ applications or other software certification or experience relevant to position
2. 2+ years healthcare experience
3. 2+ years Analysis and Design experience
4. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
5. Team Player
6. Facilitation skills
7. Problem solving skills
8. Strong business acumen
9. Mastery of program development tools such as editors and configuration tools.
10. Proven ability to utilize knowledge of computer systems and data structures to develop system solutions.
11. Demonstrated experience and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
